Two Days of Colour, Creativity, and Celebration: Chinese New Year Comes Alive at All Saints School!
All Saints School in Gresford was transformed by the spirit of Chinese New Year as pupils and staff came together for two enriching days of hands-on cultural workshops.
Over the two days, pupils took part in a rich programme of hands-on activities, transforming classrooms into vibrant spaces of creativity, curiosity, and cultural discovery. From the very first session, the enthusiasm was infectious, with pupils fully engaged and eager to take part.
The workshops included:
- Chinese Calligraphy, where pupils carefully practised brush techniques and explored the beauty and meaning behind Chinese characters
- Chinese Clay Knots, allowing pupils to shape and decorate traditional designs while learning about their symbolism
- Chinese Paper Lanterns, with pupils creating bright, colourful lanterns that brought the spirit of Chinese New Year to life
The pupils thoroughly enjoyed the experience, showing great concentration, creativity, and pride in their work. The sessions were filled with smiles, laughter, and moments of real achievement, as many pupils discovered something completely new for the first time.
Staff at All Saints School also spoke warmly about the workshops, praising the positive atmosphere, the high level of pupil engagement, and the opportunity to enrich the curriculum through meaningful cultural learning.
Spending two full days at the school allowed pupils to fully immerse themselves in the activities, creating a memorable and inspiring Chinese New Year celebration that will be fondly remembered by both pupils and staff.
