- Those studying WJEC.
Please note these sessions are open to anyone aged 16 or over.
What to expect?
During each session, you will:
- Explore core topics from the A Level Law curriculum
- Take part in practical activities and group discussions
- Develop a stronger understanding of key legal principles
- Receive guidance on revision techniques and exam preparation
Sessions are led by Law lecturers Lois Nash and Natasha Hooker, who will support you throughout and answer any questions you may have.
Session Details
Session 1: Unit 1 The Nature of Law and the Welsh and English Legal Systems
When? 1-3pm, Friday 15 May 2026
Preparing for the written examination, we will discuss how to answer questions, review marking schemes and sample questions relating to law-making in Wales and England and the nature of law.
Session 2: Unit 2 The Law of Tort
When? 1-3pm, Wednesday 20 May 2026
Preparing for the written examination, we will discuss how to answer questions, review marking schemes and sample questions relating to the law of tort, and cover a mixture of short-answer and essay questions, including a scenario-based question.
Session 3 Unit 3 The Practice of Substantive Law
When? 1-3pm, Wednesday 27 May 2026
Preparing for the written examination, we will discuss how to answer scenario-based questions, and review marking schemes and sample questions relating to Human Rights Law, Law of Contract and Criminal Law.
Session 4: Unit 4 Substantive Law Perspectives
When? 1-3pm, Wednesday 3 June 2026
Preparing for the written examination, we will discuss how to answer essay questions, and review marking schemes and sample questions relating to Human Rights Law, Law of Contract and Criminal Law.
