What is iTrent, and how is it relevant to me?
iTrent is a cloud-based solution that enables organisations like the University to manage employee data, payroll, and other HR functions efficiently.
Employee Self-Service (ESS): Is a self-service portal for all colleagues in the University. This is the platform by which;
View all your personal and job-related details – and be able to update personal details within the system, such as emergency contact, next of kin, home address, and all equality and diversity information.
View your monthly payslips, and other payroll forms, such as you’re P60.
View your annual leave balance and request annual leave.
Request other forms of leave such as maternity, adoption, shared parental leave, emergency leave and so forth).
View any episodes of sickness absence.
Submit a flexible working request.
For colleagues who are Line Managers / Supervisors, there will be access to a platform called MSS (Managers self-service). To provide a few examples, this is the platform by which annual leave requests will be reviewed, considered, and approved, job related information will be viewed for the team members, and a suite of reports will be available to view.

There is also an on-site nursery facility (). The Nursery is open to all, including university students and staff and members of the public.

Where can I find help to deal with work-life stressors, family issues, financial concerns, relationship problems, and other wider concerns?
We offer all an Employee Assistance Programme (VIVUP). Care first employ professionally qualified Counsellors and Information Specialists, who are experienced in helping people to deal with all kinds of practical and emotional issues such as Wellbeing, family matters, relationships, debt management, workplace issues, and much more. It is available to staff members and their families and aims to have a positive impact on their wellbeing.
The University also benefits from having an on-site Occupational Health Practitioner.

- Bird Group - The Bird Group meets on Wednesdays, 7.30pm during term time in Room 101, Tha Management Centre, College Road. The group is open to staff, students and the public and holds an excellent range of lectures as well as field trips which are held at weekends.
