Powis Castle: Exploring Myths from the 18th Century

Dr Melvin Humphreys is an Honorary Research Associate at the Institute for the Study of Welsh Estates. He has developed an important research and publication portfolio centred on the social, economic and cultural histories of his native Montgomeryshire, and in particular the influence exerted by the county鈥檚 landed families and estates. Working with Murray Ll. Chapman, Melvin is currently compiling a history of the Powis estates, which will form the basis of his lecture.
